I．はじめに

　isoiated fourth ventride（IFV）はslit like ventricle（SLV）と同様にシャント合併症のひとつとして最近注目されてきた病態であるが，今回われわれは閉塞性水頭症に対するV-Pシャント後，Guillain-Barré症候群と紛らわしい興味ある神経症状にて発症したIFVの1例を経験したので報告する．

Recently the symptoms caused by isolated dila-tation of the fourth ventricle have become the subjectof discussion under the name of the Isolated FourthVentricle (IFV).

IFV is caused by occlusion of the aqueduct ofSylvius as well as the foramen of Luschka and Magendieafter shunt procedure for the internal hydrocephalus,although the etiological back-ground is not fullyunderstood yet. Most of the symptoms of hithertoreported cases are due to dysfunction of the lowercranial nerve and cerebellum.
