Ⅰ．はじめに

　脳腫瘍治療において放射線療法は重要な役割を占めている．しかし，同時にradiation necrosisなどの放射線障害の問題があり，また放射線治療後数年を経て，組織学的に全く異なった脳腫瘍が発生するという報告も少数ながら見られている^{2,4,5,7,10,11,12,13,14,15）}．

　今回われわれは，ependylnomaの術後放射線療法を行い，9年後照射部位に一致してmalignant meningiomaの発生を見た1例を経験したので報告する．

A case of malignant meningoma with subdural abscess following postoperative irradiation therapy for ependymoma was reported.

A three-year-old girl had been admitted to our clinic complaining headache, vomiting and left hemiparesis. The right carotid angiogram revealed the mass lesion in the right frontal lobe and sharply demarcated cystic tumor was totally removed. Histological examination showed ependymoma with pseudorosette formation. Totally 3650 rad of Cobalt-60 irradiation was performed postoperatively. She had passed well for nine years.
