I．はじめに

　初老期痴呆のような慢性変性疾患における脳波の異常は，通常，非特異的変化として現象的記載にとどまり，変化の意味が追求されることは少なかった。われわれはI，II部^28,29）に，Alzhcimer病（以下A病）とPick病（以下P病）26例の脳波所見を報告したが，その中の死亡者13例中11例が剖検された。本論文では，これら11例の病理学的所見に基づいて，脳波像の変遷とその基礎をなす器質的変化との対応関係を分析する。

Abstract

　The purpose of this paper is to find out a possible correlation between EEG patterns and pathological changes observed in presenile dementia.

　1) Pathological findings in Alzheimer's and Pick's diseases (6 and 5 cases, respectively) were reported. Four cases in each group were pathologically typical, and 2 Alzheimer cases and 1 Pick case were atypical. Within the parieto-occipital region, the lobulus parietalis inferior showed the severest change, and the primary projection areas showed no or slight changes in all of the Alzheimer cases.
