Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to study a relationship between localized and paroxysmal EEG abnormalities and an atrophy of the cerebrum that was demonstrated on PEGs, CT scans and autopsy in Pick's and Alzheimer's diseases (12 and 14 cases, respectively).

 1) There was a difference between the two cerebral hemispheres in the amplitude of EEG components and in the degree of cerebral atrophy that was persisted over a long period of time, in all of the cases except for two Alzheimer cases.
