　保健医療制度が動きつつある現在，神経疾患の対策についても変革が予想されている。本稿では，この状況に配慮しながら神経疾患の施設ケアを考える。

For a total of 1.6 million beds, there are an estimated total of 3-5 millions of patients who require care. In the forthcoming revision of the Medical Care Act (Iryoho), the Japan Ministry of Health and Welfare places emphasis on 1) reduction of the number of physicians, 2) proper distribu-tion of the health care providers, 3) collaboration of various institutions for health care, 4) expansions of home care and primary care, 5) suppression of the excessive admissions or institutionalizations.
