近年，日本からの海外留学者数は減少傾向にあるが，グローバル化が進む医療・科学の分野における海外留学の重要性は決して低下していない。海外留学は「世界の多様性と普遍性」を身をもって経験できるまたとない機会である。また，海外留学により国際的な人脈の構築，最先端の研究手法や臨床技術の習得，英語力の向上なども期待できる。

Abstract

Recently the number of Japanese physicians and researchers studying at universities or research institutions abroad has been decreasing; however, the importance of studying abroad has not changed in the field of medicine and science where globalization is still progressing. Studying abroad is a unique opportunity to experience the diversity and universality of the world. In addition, foreign studies can promote international personal relationships, acquisition of cutting edge research methods and clinical techniques, and improvement of English skills.
