緒言
精索由来の悪性腫瘍は稀であるが，なかでも平滑筋肉腫の報告例は極めて稀である。われわれは，当初，睾丸腫瘍の疑いのもとに手術を行い，結果が精索平滑筋肉腫であつた1例を経験したので，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。
A 68-year-old man was admitted with the complaint of left intrascrotal mass. He underwent the left radical orchiectomy under the diagnosis of testicular tumor. The specimen was a child-head sized tumor, originated from the left spermatic cord. Histological diagnosis was the leiomyosarcoma. After the opera-tion the irradiation and antineoplastic drugs therapy were performed. But they were unsuccessful. The lung metastasis developed and multiple skin metastases appeared. And he died 34 months after the first visit.
Some comments were made with regard to the leiomyosarcoma of spermatic cord. This is the 8th case report in Japan.
