緒言

　泌尿生殖器系には，その複雑な発生過程のため多くの先天異常が生じやすい。睾丸については，数・形態・位置などの異常が知られているが，数の異常のうち，一個体が3個以上の睾丸を有する場合を多睾丸症（Polyorchism：Polyorchidie）とよんでいる。

　最近，われわれは同じ先天異常の一つである尿道下裂に合併した多睾丸症の1例を経験したので報告する。

A case of polyorchism was reported. A 12-year-old boy was admitted to our clinic for penosc-rotal hypospadia.

Physical examination revealed a healthy, well-developed boy except the anomaly of external genitalia. On palpation, the right testis was normal in size and situation. In the left scrotum, a testis with its epididymis was found at the normal site; about 2 cm above this there was a small, firm, oval mass. It was smooth, non-tender and did not transilluminate. Laboratory tests were within normal limits, inclu-ding the excretory urography and urinary steroids.
