停留睾丸に発生した睾丸回転症の1例

TORSION OF UNDESCENDED TESTIS: A CASE REPORT

緒言

　停留睾丸の合併症としては，ヘルニアや睾丸の癌性変化などがあり，また睾丸回転症も稀ではないといわれている。しかし，実際には停留睾丸に合併した睾丸回転症の報告はきわめて少ない。

　著者らは最近，停留睾丸に合併した睾丸回転症の1例を経験したので報告し，本邦報告例を集計するとともに若干の考察を行つた。

A seven-year-old boy was first examined at the hospital on August 10, 1982. His chief complaint was swelling of the right inguinal region with tenderness.

The pre-operative diagnosis of torsion of undescended testis was made on the basis of the present status and local findings. Surgical findings, however, revealed loss of the gubernaculum testis, 180-degrees-clockwise rotation of the spermatic cord, and necrosis of the testis and epididymis, and then right orchidectomy was performed.
