　症例は36歳，女性。主訴は右側腹部痛。腎細胞癌が疑われ，根治的右腎摘出術が施行された。病理診断はmucinous tubular and spindle cell carcinomaであった。現在，術後13か月で，再発転移を認めていない。本腫瘍は2004年改訂の国際保険機構腎腫瘍組織分類に新たに加えられた亜型で，本邦では10例目の報告である。低悪性度腫瘍であり，過剰な治療を回避するために正しい病理診断が望まれる。

　Mucinous tubular and spindle cell carcinoma（MTSCC）is a newly introduced low grade subtype of renal cell carcinoma. Here,we present a novel case of MTSCC occurring in a 36-year-old female with right flank pain. Radiological examinations demonstrated a right renal mass,measuring 6cm in diameter. Clinically diagnosed as renal cell carcinoma,right radical nephrectomy was performed under general anesthesia. Histopathological fnding showed the typical features of MTSCC,that is,composed of small and uniform cuboidal cells arranged in tubuloglandular architectures and spindle cells forming fascicles with a mucinous stroma. No tumor recurrence or metastasis was noted,13 months after the surgery. Because of its indolent biological behavior,precise pathological diagnosis is required to avoid excessive treatment.
