I．はじめに

　Chromoblastomycosisは，主として皮膚および皮下組織を侵すが時には内臓にも病変を起すこともある黒色真菌による深在性真菌症である。本症は中南米，北米に多いといわれるが，わが国でもすでに30例以上^1）〜39）の報告があり，特に近年その報告数が増加してきている。しかし地域的には関東，東北地方に多く，北陸地方には極めて少ない。私達は本症の新潟県での最初の例を経験したのでこれを報告し，あわせてわが国のこれまでの症例をまとめてみる。

A 63-year-old businessman working for an agricultural co-operation in Niigata Prefecture noted dark-red papules without any subjective sensation in his right scapular region, which enlarged gradually and developed into a plaque. No lymph node swelling was proved in the axillary and cervical regions.

Histopathologic specimen biopsied from the plaque revealed a granulomatous infiltrate in the dermis and PAS-positive brown spores were proved in microabscesses in the epidermis and dermis and in giant cells.

Hormodendrum pedrosoi was identified by culture from the lesion. The lesion was excised completely, and skin graft was performed. No recurrence is noted 17 months after the opera-tion. He is now under the control of physicians for diabetes mellitus and diabetic retinitis.

This is the first report of chlomoblastomycosis in Niigata Prefecture.
