　はじめに

　瞬目反射は，その遠心路は顔面神経全長を含むため，顔面神経麻痺の評価に用いられる^1）。従来，末梢性顔面神経麻痺では乏シナプス回路である早期成分R1の回復の早い症例の病態は脱髄であり，過誤支配が起きないと言われてきた^1〜3）。

　今回，3週間以内に麻痺側のR1が回復したにもかかわらず，のちに過誤支配を生じた3症例を経験した。その瞬目反射の波形の特徴はR1，R2ともに単一波形を繰り返すものであった。以下に症例報告とその波形出現のメカニズムを推測したので述べる。

　In 3 facial paralysis patients, R 1 and R 2 components of blink reflex (BR) on the affected side were recovered within 3 weeks after onset.

　R2 components consisted of a series of R 1. Recruitment pattern of the surface EMG was associated with a lowamplitude single motor unit at a low discharge rate over the involved musculus orbicularis oculi. Six months later, BR showed synkinetic potential on the affected side of the musculus orbicuralis oris. Our findings strongly indicate that motor units dominating the R 1 and R 2 components are identical.
