　はじめに

　鼻性頭蓋内合併症は戦後の抗生剤の発達に伴い減少傾向であったが，最近再び報告例が増加してきている。今回，われわれは急性副鼻腔炎から髄膜炎および眼窩蜂窩織炎を併発した症例を経験したので若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

A 31-year-old male with headache, fever and a swelling of the right orbit developed meningitis and orbital phlegmone followedto acut paranasal sinusitis. On examination, cereberospinal fluid showed an elevated cell counts and X-ray examina-tions revealed inflammation in bilateral maxillary sinus, ethomoid sinus and frontal sinus. Intracranial air was also detected by CT. A high dose of broad -spectrum antibiotics was effective, and the patient recovered completely in 2 weeks without complica-tions.
