　はじめに

頭頸部領域に生じる悪性腫瘍は大部分が腺扁平上皮癌である。副鼻腔の粘膜は円柱上皮からなり，また鼻腔には分泌腺が存在しているにもかかわらず，この領域においても上皮性悪性腫瘍はその大部分が扁平上皮癌であり，その他の組織型の悪性腫瘍は比較的稀である。今回われわれは同一組織内に腺癌と扁平上皮癌を認めた極めて稀な腺扁平上皮癌の2症例を経験したので，文献的考察を加え報告する。

Two female patients of 74 years of age with adenosquamous carcinoma were initially treated with radiotherapy and radical surgery. Althoughboth patients had recurrence at the site of primary lesion without metastasis, they were salvaged with radical surgery. Adenosquamous carcinoma is very rare tumor in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses and the prognosis of this tumor is extremely poor for its high frequencies of metastasis and low sensi-tivity for both chemotherapy and radiotherapy.However, the limited number of cases indicated that further collection of cases must be added for any definitive conclusions about the mode of therapy.
