はじめに

　軟骨腫は，喉頭原発腫瘍のなかで稀な疾患である。喉頭軟骨腫は輪状軟骨，甲状軟骨，披裂軟骨に発生し，発生部位により臨床症状が異なる。また，喉頭軟骨腫は生検による病理診断が難しく^1），低悪性度の喉頭軟骨肉腫との鑑別が困難であり^2），診断と治療に難渋することが多い。治療は，外科的切除が一般的で，放射線治療や化学療法は無効とされる^3）。今回われわれは，輪状軟骨原発の軟骨腫例を経験したので，若干の文献的考察を加え報告する。

　Chondroma of the larynx is a rare benign tumor. A 72-year-old man presented with 2 year history of hoarseness. A laryngeal endoscopy revealed vocal cord dysfunction. A CT showed a mass lesion measuring 48 mm at cricoid cartilage. But he didn't wish for treatment.

　Two years later from the first visit, the tumor grew to 57 mm, and he could not take oral feeding. He wished for treatment, and we removed the tumor with total laryngectomy. Pathological diagnosis was chondroma of the cricoids cartilage. Total laryngectomy should be considered in case of dysphagia caused by laryngeal chondroma.
