はじめに

　Rosai-Dorfman病（RDD）はsinus histiocytosis with massive lymphadenopathy（SHML）とも呼ばれ，1969年RosaiとDorfmanによって提唱された原因不明の組織球増殖性疾患である^1）。主病変はリンパ節であるが，皮膚や皮下組織，鼻腔，眼瞼・眼窩，骨，唾液腺，中枢神経系にも病変を生じることが報告されている^1,2）。今回われわれは声門下腫瘤による気道狭窄が危惧されたために，外科的切除を行ったRDDの1例を経験したので報告する。

　A 75-year-old woman presented with a 2-year history of a progressively enlarging cheek mass. MRI revealed a soft-tissue mass in the cheek submucosal region. Endoscopic examination detected another mass in the subglottic area. As her airway was narrow for the subglottic mass, laryngofissure procedure was performed and the submucosal mass in the cheek was removed via oral cavity. Pathologic results of the both masses were compatible with RDD. RDD localized in the airway can be life-threatening and surgical treatment should be considered.
