I．はじめに

　脂肪肉腫は全軟部肉腫の10～12％を占め，線維肉腫と並んで頻度が高い。臀部，後腹膜，近位四肢深部に好発する。頸部発生は0.6～5.6％と少なく^1,2），顎下部に発生した脂肪肉腫の報告は，われわれが渉猟した限りでは本症例が本邦で26例目となる。男性にやや多くみられ，好発年齢は40～60歳であるが，頭頸部領域は他の領域に比べてやや低いと報告されている^3～5）。

　今回われわれは，顎下部に発生した粘液型脂肪肉腫の1例を経験したので報告する。

A 77-year-old woman presented with an increasing painless mass in the right submandibular area.

　CT showed a large mass displacing the tongue and pharynx medially. T1 weighted magnetic resonance imaging（MRI）demonstrated a low signal mass which was irregularly enhanced with contrast medium. It was pathologically diagnosed to be myxoid liposarcoma by incisional biopsy and was resected with the mandibular bone and oral mucosa. Since the pathological examination of the resected specimen elucidated the insufficient surgical margin,postoperative radiation therapy was performed.
