　過去5年間に，超音波水晶体乳化吸引術後に網膜剥離が発症した24眼を検索した。危険因子を過去3年間に白内障手術を受けた1,098眼と対比した。男性であること，術中の後嚢破損，眼軸長24mm以上が危倹因子であると同定された。術中の後嚢破損は術後早期の網膜剥離に関係した。

We reviewed a consecutive series of 24 eyes which developed retinal detachment following cataract surgery by phacoemulsification and aspiration during the foregoing 5 years. The presumed risk factors were evaluated by comparing 1,098 eyes which underwent uneventful cataract surgery during 3 years. We identified following items as risk factors for pseudophakic retinal detachment : male, intraoperative rupture of posterior capsule, and axial length longer than 24mm.Intraoperative rupture of posterior capsule particularly contributed to early occurrence of retinal detachment.
