Abstract 文献概要

　螢光測定法fluorophotometryを用い，糖尿病患者25例43眼（42〜65歳，平均55.0歳）および正常対照者11例19眼（43〜68歳，平均57・6歳）を対象に，水晶体自発螢光ならびに水晶体の光透過性を表わす自発螢光比率を測定したところ，いずれの年代においても糖尿病患者において水晶体自発螢光が増大し，水晶体自発螢光比率が低下していた（p＜0.05）。これは糖尿病における白内障出現以前の水晶体の微細な変化を意味しており，糖尿病臨床におけるfluorophotometryの有用性を確認させるものであった。糖尿病の罹病期間，網膜症のstage, HbA_1cの値との関連性は得られなかったが，今後同一症例を長期間追跡することにより明らかにすべきものと考えた。

We measured the autofluorescence and trans-mittance of the noncataractous lens in 43 eyes of 25 diabetic patients aged 42 to 68 years, average 55 years. A sumilar study was made in 19 eyes of age -matched 11 healthy individuals. The diabetic patients showed a significantly increased lens auto-fluorescence and reduced transmittance over the controls.

This finding was considered to reflect minute changes in the crystalline lens as precursory to the actual opacity of the diabetic lens. Fluoro-photometric readings in the present study appeared to fairly predict the presence of diabetes mellitus.The autofluorescence of the lens showed no correla-tion with the duration of diabetes mellitus, stage of retinopathy or HbA_1c value.
