　78歳女性の眼窩上縁に徐々に増大する腫瘤が発現したため涙腺腫瘍などを疑い全摘出したところ，病理学的にアミロイドーシスの診断を得た。全身検査所見，家族歴に異常なく，各種炎症性疾患も認めないため，限局性アミロイドーシスと診断した。腫瘤摘出後2年経過した現在も再発はなく，全身的にも経過良好である。

A 78-year-old woman presented with painless tumor in the left upper eyelid which progressed over the past 2 years. We could palpate two firm irregular masses. Computed tomography showed a soft-tissue density mass in the upper lateral orbit. The tumor was removed surgically in three pieces. Histopathology showed accumulation of eosino-philic amorphous material which stained positive with congo red. Electron microscopy showed amyloid fibrils. Systemic examinations showed negative results. The condition was diagnosed as primary amyloidosis localized in the orbit.
