　VDT （Visual Display Terminal）作業者10名の眼精疲労を心因的側面から捉えるために，内田クレペリン精神検査を指標として，一般事務作業者5名を対照にして検索した。それぞれ，2時間のVDT作業，または一般事務作業を負荷作業として行わせ，その前後に内田クレペリン精神検査，眼科的諸検査を行って各パラメーターについて検討した。その結果，検査作業パターンの分析からVDT作業，一般事務作業両者ともが，作業者の心理的ストレス要因になっていることが窺われた。しかしこれを含めて他のどのパラメーターも，VDT作業と一般事務作業の間に有意の差が認められず，短時間のVDT作業による疲労感に及ぼす心因的影響は，内田クレペリン精神検査で捉えられる様な心的変化とは質の異なるものであることが推測された。しかし負荷作業条件の変更を含め，いろいろな状況下にあるVDT作業者に本検査を行うことにより，その心的変化を客観的に評価できる可能性があると思われた。

We evaluated the psychological factors involved in asthenopia in operators of visual display termi-nal (VDT). We performed Uchida-Kraepelin test in 10 VDT and 5 nom-VDT workers before and after a continuous work load for 2 hours. There was no difference in the range of accom-modation or critical flicker fusion frequency in either group before and after the work load. Both groups manifested similar changes in the mean work quantities and profile fluctuation value in the psychological test. We detected no correlation between the complaint of workers and the profile fluctuation values in either group. It appeared that the asthenopia associated with VDT work was not associated with the psychological factors as can be detected with Uchida-Kraepelin test.
