緒　言

　有裂孔性網膜剥離の治療の目的は裂孔を凝固して網脈絡膜癒着瘢痕を来たすことにあり，この瘢痕形成が早ければそれだけ患者の早期離床につながる。したがつて，瘢痕化遅延に及ぼす因子を知り，その因子をとり除くことは，とりもなおさず瘢痕形成を促進することになり早期離床が可能となる。しかしながら臨床例をもとにして瘢痕化遅延に及ぼす因子について詳細に検討した記載を過去にみない。そこでわれわれは有裂孔性網膜剥離術後瘢痕化遅延に及ぼす因子について検討したので報告する。

We evaluated the postsurgical course of 138 eyes with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment treated with transscleral diathermy. Particular attention was paid to the onset of scar forma-tion of the diathermy lesions and to the factors that might influence the onset of scarring.

Factors which were considered to contribute to retarded scar formation (later than 15th postoperative day) were : advanced age of over 40 years, elevated detachment at the time of operation, delayed absorption of subretinal fluid after surgery and posteriorly located retinal tear of more than 16 mm from the limbus.
