　角膜輪状膿瘍（以下角膜輪と略記）に就ては水尾氏始め報告例は多いが角膜異物除去後に発生した例は池田氏の報告が始めてである。而し乍ら誌上に発表されないだけで余り稀ではなかろうと付け加えてある。吾々の経験した例も角膜異物除去後に発生したものであるがその角膜輪が二重に分れた事が特徴的であるので此処に報告する次第である。

A man aged 45, with serpenginous ulcer, after the extraction of a foreign body, newly formed double ring abscess due to the infection by staphylococcus, which was resistant to penicillin.

Combined usage of terramycin and injection of Domian (sulfisomidine) to the carotid was successful and the patient healed, but left a corneal opacity. Visual acuity increased to 0.04 from light senses.

Although there are two theories in connection with the formation of ring abscess ; i, e.chemontaxis theory and a theory which conditioned endophthalmia. So far the mechanism of the double ring abscess is unknown.
