緒言

　本邦におけるOrthopticsは欧米に比し著しく小規模であり，又遅れている状態にあるが，近年ようやく普及し各地で施行されつつある。然しその統計的な報告は未だ少い。

　我々は昭和30年の臨床眼科学会においてOr—thopticsの成績の一部を報告したが，その後昭和31年1月から昭和35年3月までの4年3カ月に施行した症例についてその成績を此処に報告する。尚，ここに述べる症例は手術の併用の有無にかかわらず，両眼視機能獲得訓練を行つたもののみである。

The author summarized the results of the orthoptic treatment for 4 years and 3 months at the Medical School of Juntendo University. Among 81 patients with squint, 26 patients were at the 1 st grade healing stage, 24 patients were at the 2 nd grade healing and 16 patients were at the 3 rd grade healing stage. In 5 patients, the treatment was in vain. Besides them, the author treated the patients with exophoria and with aphakic eyes by the orthophic method. The results were excellent. In conclusion, the author hopes an excellent domestic treatment will be planned and more orthoptists will be trained.
