緒言

　春季カタルは温暖な気候に発生する両側性再発性の結膜の炎症性疾患であるが，其の原因に就ては，アレルギー性のものと想像されている以外には今日尚不明である。従つて，其の療法に関しては古来より次に述べるが如き幾多の治療法が試みられて来たが，根治せしめる療法はないようである。

Beta irradiation therapy was administered to 7 cases of vernal conjunctivitis which had not reacted to other treatments, and the following conclusions were obtained.

1) Beta irradiation therapy in vernal conjunctivitis was found to be indicated for the severe forms which did not react to any other treatments in order to achieve alleviation of symptoms.

2) Cares should be taken not to give overdoses of beta irradiation. When the sympto-ms are improved, the irradiation therapy should be replaced with local therapies with predonisolone as a main agent.
