　白点状網膜炎は，1882年Moorenが始めて発見し報告して以来我国においても多数の報告がある。しかし白点状網膜炎の白点の本態に関しては，種々あげられているけれども，何れも単なる推論に過ぎず，未だその病理組織所見については全く不明である。私は最近21歳の時白点状網膜炎と診断された男子が，白血病にて当院内科に入院加療中47歳で死亡した症例の眼球を死後直ちに摘出し，組織検査を行う機会を得たのでここに報告する。

There seems to have been no report concerning the histopathology of retinitis punctata albescens. This report is the first information of the disease refering to its histopathology.

The patient is a 47 years old male suffering from typical retinitis punctata albescens having a definite night blindness. Eventually he died and the eye was examined by his-tology.

In autopsy, significant change were found in the pigment epithelium of the retina. The distribution of the pigments were not uniform, particularly at the posterior pole of the fundus. In some part, the pigments were scattered, and in others they were accumulated.
