I．緒言
Neptazane（5-acetylimino-4-methyl-Δ2-1,3，4-thiadiazoline-2-sulphonamide）は現在眼圧降下剤として広く用いられているDiamoxに類似の構造を有する新しいcarbonic anhydrase in-hibitorで最近Benitz1），Langham2）によつて，その眼圧に対する作用が報告されている。
私共は，本剤を用いて，緑内障に対する眼圧下降作用を観察し，見るべき知見を得たのでここに報告する。
Clinical investigation have been carried out on the effects of Neptazane, a new carbonic anhydrase inhibitor, upon the intra-ocular pressure in glaucomatous eyes. The results are as follows ;
1) Ten simple glaucomas treated with Neptazane ; 6 were effective, one was slightly effective and 3 were not effective.
2) One chronic inflammatory glaucoma treated with Neptazane was effective.
3) Four secondary glaucomas ; one was effective, 2 were slightly effective and one wasnot effective.
