緒言
1955年King 1956年O'Rourke氏等は家兎眼に実験的葡萄膜炎をおこし，此れにプレドニソロンを使用した結果，コーチゾン，ハイドロコーチゾンの5倍の効果があり，且つ眼科的諸疾患の臨床的成績も極めて有効であつたと報告されてからは，本邦に於ても井上氏以来10数氏の臨床報告があるが，私等の教室でも種々の眼疾患に対して内服，或は点眼薬，軟膏剤として使用し，著効ある成績を納めつつあるが，今回は内服に就いての成績を報告し，御批判を仰ぐ次第である。
The effects of predonisolone (Delta-cortrill, Taito Pfizer ) on various eye diseases were investigated.
1) It was used on 8 cases of acute retrobulbar neuritis, 2 cases of Harada's disease, 2 cases of uveitis, and each one case of iridocyclitis, hemorrhage of retina and vitrous body and sympathetic ophthalmia. Of these 15 cases, this agent was very effective in 7 cases, effective in 5 cases and not effective in 3 cases.
2) The initial doses of delta-cortrill of 15~20mg. were found satisfactory, and no side-effect was observed.
3) This agent appeared tobe more effective on fresh cases.
