　1）台北市に於ける各学校生徒のトラコーマ有病率及びTerramycin又はAureomycm軟膏（1日4回点入法）による治療成績。

　Terramycin，Aureomycinがトラコーマ治療に画期的効果をもたらすものである事は，今や周知の事実であつて，多くの報告が見られるが，著者等は，今回，台湾に於けるトラコーマ予防治療を開始するに先だち，台北市内の国民学校の学童組，男子師範学生組，女子師範学生組，師範大学学生組の，年齢，性別を異にせるトラコーマの罹患率を調査し，更に1％Terramycin Ointment又は1％Aureomycin Ointmentによる集団治癒率を比軟検討して見た。

The mass-treatment applying 1 % Terramycin and Aureomycin ophthalmic ointment on Trachoma patients in the various schools at Taipei city and aboriginal region in Formosa was performed. The results obtained from the investigation were as follows:

About 1/3 to 1/2 of the patients recovered in the first 2 months ; afterwards, 1/3 to 1/2 of the remaining non-cured tended to recover every a month.

Comparing the effects on Trachoma in two cases applying the ointment 4 times a day and twice a day, the authors did not observe any remarkable difference between them.
