緒言
春季カタルの発病に就ては，アレルゲンの侵襲は勿論であるが，其の基盤をなすものは体質が大に影響する事は充分想像されるのである。私共は今回其の体質研究の一部として，血清中総Ca量を柳沢氏法に依り測定した。
春季カタルの血清Ca量に就てはつとに Woodsの報告があり，Ca量の減少を認め且つ非経口的のCa療法を有効であると述べている。又本邦に於ては，高橋氏が，5例の春季カタルに就て測定し，Ca量が健康人より多いものが少からずと報告した。
We measured the gross quantity of serum calcium in 54 cases of the normal adult, the normal old, vernal conjunctivitis and senile cataract in accordance with Yanagisawa's me-thod, and gained the results as follows:
1) The gross quantity of serum calcium in patients of vernal conjuncticitis is on the de-crease to that of the normal adult. We considered the reason of this to be a partial factor of allergic habitus.
2) The gross quantity of serum calcium is not significant for diagnosing senile cataract.
3) There is no significant difference between the gross quantity of serum calcium of the normal adult and that of the normal old.
