緒言

　網膜剥離のERPについてはすでにいくつかの報告^1）〜8）があるが，術前のERP所見と剥離の程度および罹病期間との相関性，ならびに復位後のERP波形の動向について詳述した報告はまだない。

　今回は，これらの点の解明を目的として，網膜剥離患者にERP的検索を施行したので，ここにその結果を報告する。

Considering on the influences of aging and refractive errors on the ERP, ERP studies were made in 56 affected eyes of 49 patients (25 males and 24 females) with idiopathic or traumatic detached retina. The age of the patients ranged from 10 to 74 years.

The results obtained were as follows :

1. Mean values of the ERP amplitude prior to surgery gradually decreased as the retinal lesion extended. Accordingly, in case of old total detached retina, the ERP was completely extinguished.
