  • Look Inside

To examine reliability of ERP data across facilities, we recorded ERPs of 5 paid healthy male volunteers at 5 collaborative research facilities, with each subject visiting all facilities for measurements. ERPs were recorded according to the designated conditions of Japan Society of EEG and EMG, employing the oddball paradigm for the ERP-eliciting task. Visual analyses demonstrated that ERP waveforms, particularly the P300 component, for each subject recorded at five different facilities were almost similar with each other. Furthermore, intraclass correlation analyses were conducted in order to examine reliability for the P300-peak amplitude and latency data across different facilities. As a result, good correlation coefficients were obtained for both measures, with the variances across facilities being much less than those for subjects. Based upon these results, several suggestions were made to enhance reliability for P300 measures across different facilities.
