角膜移植の年度別推移

Transition of Our Penetrating Keratoplasty

はじめに

　我国における角膜移植は，現在でこそ世人に特異の感をいだかせることが少なくなってきたが，最近の本手術の急速な進歩と広範な普及とを，20年以前に予想し得た方が，果して存在したであろうか。

　角膜移植そのものの歴史は，決して新しいものではなく，諸外国では，今世紀初頭から既に生体摘出眼の応用が試みられていたが，1928年，Filatovが初めて死体角膜の全層移植に成功して以来，アメリカを初めとする各国では，本手術は，社会的に何等の制約を受けることなく，臨床面で盛んに施行されるようになった。Filatovの1945年の報告例は，実に824例にものぼっている。

For twenty-two years, since June 1949, we have tackeled with keratoplasty, and with the birth of our eye bank we have succesively been compelled to overcome hurdles of various sorts. Here we presented our history of this ophthalmologic operation in retrospect.

We discussed the age and geographical dist-ribution of 1,211 people who have registered themselves with Iwate Medical University Eye Bank, and this was followed by the discussion of the historical changes in the method of cor-neal storage and in surgical methods, including the changes in the diameter of trephines used over the years.
