I．緒言

　網膜剥離への冷凍手術の応用は，その長所のため近年ますます盛んになり，冷凍手術器具は改良され，cryoprobeに徹照装置を装着した器具も開発されてきている^1）。しかしいずれも価格の点で，一般に普及するにはなお問題があると思われる。

　われわれは，簡便な冷凍手術法として，ドライアイス片，およびドライアイス—アセトンを用いるペンシル型冷凍器による網膜固定術を検討した。予備実験として家免網膜を冷凍凝固し，ジアテルミー焼灼網膜と，組織学的に比較検討し，ついで特発性網膜剥離23例26眼に応用して好結果を得た。

Simplified cryocautery using dry ice or sim-ple cryocautery probe in which the freezing effect was obtained with a mixture of dry ice and acetone was studied experimentally and clinically.

The retina of albino rabbit after crycautery was compared with that of diathermy and the differences were briefly discussed.

Then the simplified cryocautery was applied to 26 cases of retinal detachment and 25 cases of complete reattachment were obtained. Besides, dry ice did not adhere to the sclera, and adher-ing cryoprobe was easily released by contacting with probe of Gonin's thermocautery.
