I．緒言

　老人性円板状黄斑部変性は，高年者で脈絡膜血管系からの漏出または出血による黄斑部の網膜色素上皮（または網膜）の剥離，隆起を特徴とする眼底疾患であり，末期には瘢痕組織を形成するため，著明な視力障害をのこすことが多い。

　「老人性円板状黄斑部変性」の名称はOeller （1900）によつて初めて用いられたが，本名称のもとに統一され一つのclinical entityと認められるようになつたのはJunius and Kuhnt （1926）の報告以後である。

A case of senile disciform macular degenera-tion in a 64-year-old male was reported.

The right eye was affected first and then the left eye with an interval of 10 years.

Systemic examinations revealed hypertension and capillary fragility.

The fluorescein angiographic findings of the case are thought to show the increased perme-ability of choroidal vessels, the existences of subpigment epithelial fluid and of degenerative changes of the pigment epithelium at the ma-cular region.
