  • Look Inside

Pieces of brass flew into the eyeballs of a 13-year-olb-boy by explosion of gunpowder in the brass tube.

Traumatic cataract was observed in the right eye, while there appeared the findings of chalcosis bulbi in the left eye: Three mon-ths after the injury greenish opacity of the lens was observed. The lens got turbid totally excepting central pupillary area. Slit-lamp examination revealed the deposit of pigment beneath the anterior and posterior lens capsu-les.

A lot of minute metallic sheen were seen in the macular region.

26 months' after the injury the opacity of the lens has almost disappeared.
