I．緒言

　眼部の腫瘍に関しては，臨床的にも，病理組織学的にも枚挙にいとまがないほど多数の報告があり，これが統計もまたしかりである。

　今回，昭和31年から40年までの10年間にわれわれの教室で診療した眼部腫瘍患者について調査したので，いささかの私見とともに報告する。

A retrospective survey on ocular tumors was conducted during the 10-year period between 1956~4965 in the author's clinic. Out of the to-tal of 57190 cases who visited the outpatients' clinic, 129 cases were diagnosed as tumors in the ocular region. Malignant tumor comprised about 30% of the 129 cases. Retinoblastoma was the most frequent malignant neoplasm with 13 cases (10%) followed by carcinoma of the ocular adnexa (12 cases : 9%), sarcoma in the ocular adnexa (8 cases : 6%) and melanosarcoma (5 cases : 4%). The overall rate of mortality in cases with malignant neoplasm lay about 50%.
