色覚の内容は極めて複雑であるからその検査方法にもスペクトル装置による法，色相配列法，ランタン法等様々あるが，臨床上最も多く使われているのは色盲検査表なのでその特色と使用にあたつて注意すべき点をのべてみたい。
Various pseudoisochromatic test plates are described and their individual characteristics are assessed.
The test charts of Ishihara is the most re-liable for the sake of screening out abnormal subjects. Other charts, especially the H-R-R and T.M.C. ones, give sometimes equivocal results in borderline cases.
In classifying color-defective subjects the H-H-R charts give far superior results over the T.M.C. ones. The charts of Ishihara, which the originator intended for screening and not for classification, is notwithstanding fairly satisfactory.
