I．緒言

　最近，我国において弱視，及び斜視に関する機能的療法に対して著しい関心が寄せられ，もはやPleo-Orthopticsは眼科医にとつて，不可欠の問題となつているが，適切なるPleo-Orthopticsを行う為には，諸種の視機能，就中，両眼視機能の障害についての十分なる把握が必要であることは論をまたない。しかるに，これら両眼視に関する種々の現像については甚だ未知な問題が多く，今後の研究にまたねばならない点が少くない。

　抑圧現象は，両眼視機能障害の内で最も重要な一つと考えられているが，その検出方法はなお，不満足な状態であつて改善すべき点が少からず存在する。

In order to investigate the nature of suppression, I attempted to produce apparatus of four polaroid filter test, using four polaroid filters.

These tests were carried out in some cases of amblyopia and squint patients, and the results of the tests were more acurately than Worth four dots test which had been used generally. The four polaroid test was consisted two sets of two dots, which each other placed at right angle, attached polaroid filter. Indicater of the test was variation of four dots light induced by electric voltage control. Perception of patients to the four dots light value could be exsibited mathematically.
