The real figure of the scotoma scientilans is yet unknown.
The study to prove the possibility to make diagnosis of the scotoma scientilans by E.E.G. during the quiet stage and to arous the attack clinically or in E.E.G. by Pentazol was made under the consideration that the attack of the scotoma scientilans seems to resemble the attack of epilepsy.
The monopolar lead was applied in the temporal and occipital areas. 300mg. Pentazol was administered. In the one case of three scotoma scientilans, the dysrhythmia was recognized which was increased by Pentazol administration.
