要約　目的：涙腺の多形腺腫の再発例と悪性転化例の特徴の報告。対象と方法：2010年までの39年間に当科で手術した涙腺多形腺腫41例を検索した。結果：総計41例のうち初回手術例は男性14例，女性22例の36例で，年齢は16～83歳（平均49歳）である。良性再発は6例で平均初発年齢は39.7歳であり，悪性転化は3例で平均発症年齢は24.3歳であった。無再発例に比べ，良性再発と悪性転化は若年であった。無再発は1：2で女性に多く，悪性転化は2：1で男性に多かった。結論：涙腺の多形腺腫では，再発または悪性化は男性かつ若年者に多い。

Abstract.　Purpose：To report the characteristic features of pleomorphic adenoma of the lacrimal gland with later recurrence or transformation into malignancy. Cases and Method：This study was made on 41 cases of pleomorphic adenoma of the lacrimal gland. Results：The age ranged from 16 to 83 years,average 49 years. There were 6 cases who developed recurrence of benign tumor. The age averaged 39.7 years. There were 3 cases who developed recurrence of malignant tumor. The age averaged 24.3 years. Cases of recurrence of benign or malignant tumor were characterized by younger age of onset than cases with no recurrence. Cases with no recurrence were more frequent among females at the ratio of 1：2. Cases with recurrence of malignant tumor were more frequent among males at the ratio of 2：1. Conclusion：Males and young persons have a greater risk of recurrence of benign or malignancy after surgery for pleomorphic adenoma of the lacrimal gland.
