要約　目的：両眼への白内障手術後に眼内レンズの支持部が変形した症例の報告。症例：75歳女性が両眼に超音波乳化吸引術とアクリル製シングルピース眼内レンズの挿入術を受けた。術後の矯正視力は右眼が0.8～1.0，左眼が0.9～1.2の間にあった。3年後に左右眼とも矯正視力が0.4に低下していた。後発白内障と強い前囊収縮が両眼にあり，眼内レンズの支持部が変形していた。Nd：YAGレーザーで前囊と後囊を切開し，矯正視力は左右とも1.0になった。結論：アクリル製シングルピース眼内レンズの支持部は柔軟で張力が弱いので，強い前囊収縮があると，支持部が変形することがある。

Abstract.　Purpose：To report deformation of haptics of intraocular lens（IOL）after cataract surgery. Case and Findings：A 75-year-old female received cataract surgery in both eyes. Acrylic single-piece IOL was implanted following phacoemulsification-aspiration. Postoperative corrected visual acuity ranged from 0.8 to 1.0 right and from 0.9 to 1.2 left. The visual acuity decreased to 0.4 in either eye 3 years later. Both eyes showed deformed IOL haptics with aftercataract and marked contracture of anterior capsule. She regained corrected visual acuity of 1.0 in either eye following anterior and posterior capsulotomy using Nd：YAG laser. Conclusion：Haptics of acrylic single-piece IOL is flexible and has low tensile strength. Deformation may therefore result following marked contracture of anterior lens capsule.
