　随意的閉眼運動のうち，持続性閉眼は今まで検討されているが，随意的瞬目は注目されていない。症例は78歳右利き女性。右中大脳動脈領域の脳塞栓後に，随意的持続閉眼時では右眼は眼輪筋の過収縮による強閉眼を呈し，左眼は瞬目しかすることができない一方，随意的瞬目命令時では両側とも反復連続して瞬目することが可能で，この際，右眼の強閉眼を呈さなかった。本例の左眼は，随意的閉眼能力のうち，瞬目のみが保たれており，このことから本例は眼瞼部眼輪筋のみ随意的に収縮させることが可能と解釈できた。また，随意的瞬目時には右眼輪筋の強収縮が生じないことから，持続閉眼と瞬目では神経基盤が異なることが推察された。

We report a case of a unique eye sign following right hemispheric infarction. This patient was a 78 year old right-handed woman. There was a history ofa left hemispheric stroke 1 year previously. On admis-sion, she showed left hemianopia, dysarthria, mild left central facial paresis , bilateral sensory deficit and quadriparesis which were marked on the left side. Babinski sign was elicited on the left. She did not have anosognosia or visual neglect. She had mild oro-facial apraxia, but ideomotor and ideational apraxia was absent. There was no motor impersistence.
