　頸動脈海綿静脈洞瘻に対し経静脈塞栓術を施行し，その2年半後に新たに横-S状静脈洞硬膜動静脈瘻が出現した症例を経験した。頸動脈海綿静脈洞瘻消失後に出現した横-S状静脈洞硬膜動静脈瘻は，これまで5症例が報告されているが，その原因は末だ不明である。われわれの経験した症例を呈示し，その成因などについて若干の文献的考察を加え検討した。

We report a case of dural arteriovenous fistula of the transverse- sigmoid sinus after transvenous em-bolization of the carotid cavernous fistula.

A 72-year-old woman presented with left exophthal-mos, chemosis, bruit and left abducens nerve palsy in June 1996. Bilateral external and internal carotid angi-ograms revealed the dural arteriovenous fistula of the cavernous sinus. We embolized the dural arterio-venous fistula using a transvenous approach via the left inferior petrosal sinus. Angiograms demonstrated the complete disappearance of the dural arteriovenous fistula.
