I．緒言

　交通事故を中心とした災害事故が日毎に増加し，これに伴う外傷のなかで特に頭部外傷の発生頻度はもつとも多数を占めている。これら頭部外傷で幸いにも救命しえた場合でも頭部外傷後のいろいろな合併症や後遺症は長期間にわたつて医師および患者を悩まし続けるものである。この頭部外傷後の合併症には種々のものがあるが，今日のように頭部外傷が激増してくると，これに伴う合併症もまた種々異なつた形で新たに生じてくることも当然である。

　私どもは最近，頭部外傷により浅側頭動脈および前大脳動脈の分枝である前頭極動脈と上矢状静脈洞との間に吻合を形成した，はなはだ稀な症例を経験したので，報告する。

This is a report on a very peculiar case of anasto-mosis discovered between the frontal rami of the su-perficial temporal artery, the rami of the external carotid artery, and the frontopolar artery and the superior cerebral artery which occurred from an head injury.

The patient was a 27 year old male, who complained having a headache and harsh throbbing in the blood vessels around his forehead. The historical back ground of this case is that the patient received a strong blow in the vicinity of his median line, extending from the frontopolar to the forehead on October 16,1963, and after 2 months, he began sensing headaches and harsh throbbing in his head.
