　本研究は，全年齢に適用可能であり国際的に広く利用されるVineland Adaptive Behavior Scales, Second Editionの日本版の標準化に関する研究の一環として，不適応行動尺度の信頼性・妥当性を検証した。項目分析の結果，いずれの項目も十分な項目-合計相関を示した。内的整合性を示すα係数は，2つの下位尺度および全体尺度とも良好な値を示した。一般群と自閉症スペクトラム群の尺度得点を比較したところ，顕著な得点差がみられ，幼児期から青年・成人期にかけて，得点差が拡大する傾向がみられた。知能指数との相関は中程度までにとどまり，知的能力とは独立の構成概念を測定していることが示された。これらの結果は不適応行動尺度の高い信頼性・妥当性を示している。

　As part of a series of studies on the standardization and validation of the Japanese version of Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales, Second Edition, the present study examined the reliability and validity of the maladaptive behavior scales. Item analysis revealed sufficient item-total correlations for all items. Cronbach's alpha, a measure of internal consistency, was sufficiently high for the subscales as well as the entire instrument. Scale scores indicated a clear difference between the general population and people with autism spectrum disorders, and the difference increased from early childhood to adolescence. Correlations between scale scores and intelligence quotient were low or moderate, which suggests that the maladaptive behavior scales measure constructs independent of intellectual capacity. These results indicate the high reliability and validity of the Japanese version of the maladaptive behavior scales.
