緒言

　我々は従来急性呼吸循環機能低下によるショック，虚脱，心不全等に主として救急的に使用されていたThéraptiqueを慢性肺気腫14例に使用し，その心肺動態に及ぼす影響について観察する機会を得たのでThéraptique静注前後の肺機能検査成績を中心としてここに報告する。

Pulmonary function studies before and after intravenous injection of 30 mg of Théraptique (N-N' Dibuthyl-N-N'-Dicarboxyl-Morpholide-Ethylenediamine C₂₀H₃₈0₄N₄) were performed on 14 cases with chronic pulmonary emphysema.

Hyperventilation was seen in almost all cases after injection and excessize CO₂ was blown out resulting in reduction of alveolar Pco₂, which immediately led to decreased arterial Pco₂ and increa-sed arterial pH.

Effective alveolar ventilation was also increased in almost all cases.

Theraptique injection is, therefore, considered to be effective, by its excellent stimulating action on the respiratory centers, to cure acute or chronic respiratory acidosis in patients with chronic pulmonary emphysema.
