Ⅰ．緒言

　本邦におけるビランの診断への興味はことに柔軟な胃カメラまたはファイバースコープが日常の臨床検査に応用され，早期癌を中心にした微細病変への診断に目が向けられてから著じるしい．

　しかし文献的にビランの頻度を検討する時，気付くのはその頻度に著るしい差があることである．すなわちJunghanns¹⁾10％（切除潰瘍胃），Konjetzny45％以上²⁾（切除潰瘍胃），Walk2.9％³⁾（X線），Frik⁴⁾0.5～2％（X線），広門ら⁵⁾5.4～10％（内視鏡）青山⁶⁾5.3％（X線による胃集検）などである．しかもこの頻度の差は単に被験材料，診断方法の差のみによるものではなく，胃のビランの診断規準のもつ曖昧さによることが大きい．

　In the literature, we can find out big difference in the frequency rate of the erosion. This is not only due to the difference of the materials or the diagnostic method, but due chiefly to the vagueness of the diagnostics.

　The erosion is a circumscribed mucosal defect which dose not penetrate the muscularis mucosae histologically. It is included the wide variety in the erosion, that is, from the flat erosion, observed in the atrophic gastritis, to the so-called erosive gastritis (Dellen gastritis), observed in the non-atrophic gastric mucosa.
