自律神経素因に伴う咳漱

Recurrent cough in subjects with autonomic imbalance

　気道の過敏性を生じやすい先天的な要因を明らかにするために，セキの出やすい患者に共通した体質的な特徴を検討した。その結果，足の冷え，口渇，肩甲骨の間の肩こりが女性で高率にみられ，温度変化によるくしゃみや鼻水は男女共に高頻度であった。足の冷えなど全身的には交感神経優位であり，鼻腔に関しては副交感神経優位といえる自律神経のアンバランスな体質と考えられる。セキの出やすい患者では，上気道と下気道で温度変化に対する過敏性がみられ，気道での副交感神経優位な状態を生じやすい要因として，自律神経のアンバランスな体質の関与があるように思われた。

　In order to clarify the nonallergic factor for airway irritability, a questioning survey was conducted in patients with recurrent cough. Female patients found to have more frequent symptoms, such as cold sensation in the feet, dry mouse and neck stiffness in the interscapular region, which show sympathetic overactivity. On the other hand, high frequencies of rhinitis symptoms triggered by temperature changes, which show parasympathetic overactivity, were observed in both male and female patients. The current study demonstrate an increased sensitivity to temperature changes in both upper and lower respiratory tract. It seems that the airway irritability in patients with recurrent cough have a relation to an autonomic imbalance resulting in parasympathetic overactivity in the respiratory tract.
