Lower-leg ulcers have various causes, with venous stasis being the most common. Primary venous stasis is the most frequent occurrence, and secondary venous stasis can also occur, arising from various causes. We report the case of a 72-year-old male who visited our hospital because of refractory leg ulcers. Initial treatments for ischemia and cholesterol embolization were ineffective. Based on sonography and CT, the diagnosis was venous stasis ulcers caused by compression from abdominal aortic and bilateral common iliac artery aneurysms. The patientʼs condition improved significantly following Y-graft replacement surgery. This case highlights the need for various diagnostic tests in diagnosing lower-leg ulcers and the importance of team-based medical care in managing these ulcers.
